Point of Interest compilation tape #1

The first Point of Interest compilation tape came with the 15th and final issue of the Point of Interest zine (pictured above). POI was focused almost solely on the local 90's punk rock music and this compilation serves as a glimpse into what was going on in the Northwest scene at the time. I remember buying this tape from Jay who ran the POI zine and distro, at a punk show in Woodinville (mentioned briefly here) back in the day. When I took it home and played it in my boombox, my 13 or 14 year old mind was blown away by the sudden realization that anyone who wanted to could put out a tape, compile a zine or form a band. DIY was something I'd heard talked a lot about before but this zine, this tape and that local scene were the first time I'd ever witnessed any of it in action.

Containing 15 tracks of varying sonic quality, our final download in what has been without a doubt the blog's most exciting year in existence thus far, take a look at this tracklist:

01. The Degenerats - Do Society a Favor
02. The Degenerats - Riot Squad
03. The Degenerats - America is Dead
04. John Q Fascist - Manhood
05. Larry - Custom Engine/Stone Cold
06. Flight 800 - Fly the Friendly Skies
07. Flight 800 - Isle of the Lepers
08. Submission Hold - Ed Anger
09. Submission Hold - Analysis
10. Cease and Desist - Crust as a Solution b/w Burnt Out (these two tracks run together)
11. The Bloodclots - Common Cause
12. The Bloodclots - Paint Thinner
13. The Deviants - Beer
14. Mark Bruback - Society's Disorder

P.O.I. compilation tape (I am currently out of town and unable to scan images but when I return I will be updating this post with the actual cassette artwork)

I left in all of the tv show soundbites that were used (in most cases) in between bands but edited out some of the longer silences. The two Cease and Desist tracks were much quieter than everything else on the tape and in an effort to further amplify them it also amplified the accompanying tape noise - also, given their running together, I found it impossible to separate the tracks.

Cannibal - Tryin / Wasted Lives 7" (1985)

I've been running low on things to post these days, what with my usb turntable crapping out on me a while back, but I still browse sites like Discogs, Gemm and ebay regularly in the hopes of finding stuff for the blog. And That was how I discovered this gem, which promptly shot up way out of my price range but, thankfully, the seller had uploaded great quality rips of the two tracks from this release, so a big "thank you!" to whoever you are.

Cannibal featured members of other oldschool local punk bands such as The Fartz, Enstruction and Maggot Brains. This 7" serves as their only apparent release and it is a two track blast of dirty mid-80's Seattle style punk rock that was self-released in 1985.

I don't know any more about these guys, if you've got any information about their history please don't hesitate to share it with us in the comments.

Display - Album, Demos, Rarities, and Live

The way I see it, everything I've posted here has been leading up to this moment. This is my second favorite album of all time (first is Pet Sounds), and over the 9 years since its release, I've come to accept that one of the main reasons I've been put on this earth is to be a Display evangelist. Now, I realize that hyping something makes it more difficult for a new listener to enjoy it, so if all my fawning is sounding like a too good to be true situation, then stop reading and just download the album.

Display were an arty dance-punk (or is it dancey art-punk?) trio out of Everett, formed by bassist Jim Paschall and guitarist Jeremy Cooper of The Past, and Danny Moore on drums. They wrote short, taut songs in Sonic Youth-inspired alternate tunings, anchored by Danny's fast and crisp beats. In contrast to the largely instrumental, slow moodiness of The Past, Display was more poppy and accessible, with Jim and Jeremy trading lead vocal duties, but no less artful and forward-thinking. Display was unlike anything else in town at the time.

Despite frequent positive write-ups in the local music press, a commanding set at the Capitol Hill Block Party, and many shows with other forward thinking bands like Shoplifting and The Gossip, Display never reached the heights they should have. The sad story of why you may not already know this band is that they refused label offers to release their music, opting to self-record and self-release, but doing it all themselves delayed the process, and by the time they finally got it out (packaged beautifully in a thick hinged mirror case they designed and assembled), sudden health problems forced the band to break up within about a week of the album's release. It was only available on consignment in a few shops, at one show, or direct from the band. Only a few dozen copies were made, as far as I know.

Download their sole album, 2003's Display, here.

Download their demo, a couple full shows, and recordings of some songs in their early stages, including a couple that were never released, here.

I've also just uploaded 11 old videos to Youtube, in this playlist:
Be advised that the video resolution isn't great, but I originally got them in this resolution and don't have the originals.

Merry Christmas from Fishboy and Carleen Jean Death Machine

Alright, so this one qualifies on something of a technicality, and I'm ruling in its favor because I always look forward to listening to it around the holidays. A home-recorded 12-song Christmas CD-R from I believe 2003, given out to family and friends of the duo, Eric "Fishboy" Michener, a prolific Texan musician, and Carleen DeCamp (now Micheneer), an Everett native who moved to Texas after playing in several Everett-based bands. So, this was recorded in Texas, but there's enough Everett in it to totally qualify. Between the upbeat rock of "That's What You're Getting for Christmas" and "It's Tomorrow!", the not super serious but still poignant melancholy of "xHappyx xHardcorex xXmasx", "Lonely Santa", and "Werewolves on Christmas", and the brief but instantly memorable "Cowbell Christmas", this one is a winner all around (a winter winner, if you will). Guitar, drums, piano, synth, jingle bells, glockenspiel, whistling, what's not to love?

EXCLUSIVE: Akimbo - 3 Early Unreleased Songs

Here are 3 songs recorded in the early Akimbo days, late 2000 or early 2001. The first two were intended for a split 7" that never happened, though "Sense of Smell" was eventually re-recorded  for their debut LP, Harshing Your Mellow. The final song is an unfinished demo thrown together to make use of some extra studio time. As far as I know, these have never been available until now. Enjoy.

Shitlist - A Cold Slap of Reality 7"

Continuing on the track started with yesterday's post, here's another blast of brutal local crust punk.

Shitlist were a band that existed during the late 90's and into early 2000's. Their only releases that I know of were this 7" and a split LP with Calloused. They were fronted by former Flight 800 vocalist Ryan and if you checked out yesterday's link, you pretty much know what to expect: noisy, hardcore crust punk. Other than the fact that members of the group went on to play in Deathraid and Consume, I don't much else about these guys so feel free to fill in the blanks if you've got any info.

Flight 800 / Noisome Faugh - Patriotism In Action split 7"

Every October I seem to follow a similar music-listening pattern. At the beginning of the month, as my anticipation for Halloween starts to build, I embark on the journey by listening to some of the earlier Misfits material (Static Age, 13 hits From Hell, etc.), by mid-month as the climate and, with it, my mood darkens I start spinning The Doors s/t debut on repeat and, finally, as we round the bend heading towards the last week or so leading up to the holiday I find myself revisiting the Misfits again, this time though it's their later, more aggressive and fast-paced material - which in turn leads to an all out, several day long binge on hardcore, grindy, crusty punk rock - the dirtier-sounding, the better. Why do I bother telling you all of this, you may ask? Because, in their own ways, these two bands meet all of those criteria perfectly.

Flight 800 were a band you'd usually find sandwiched somewhere on a bill featuring mid-90's local punk bands like Bristle, The Degenerats and The Bloodclots, but their music was always a bit different than those guys and also a bit different from the crust bands they had more in common with. One of their vocalists (the screamer) looked the part, appearing unwashed and greasy with a hard-to-decipher-the-lettering-of band shirt, the other guy (the yeller) however had close cropped hair, thick-rimmed glasses (this is before they were cool, mind you) wore bright colored hawaiian shirts (pictured here). I don't know if their image was conceived intentionally, but the whole thing, especially when combined with the dark and grinding crustiness of the music coming out of the instruments, created something truly unique. I'm sure these guys went on to play in a million other bands but the ones I'm aware of are Shitlist, Deathraid and Consume.

Noisome Faugh are a band I never saw and whose presence on the scene I'm aware of solely thanks to their songs that appear on the flipside off this disc. Somewhat akin to Flight 800, Noisome Faugh were a female-fronted, hardcore/crust group whose members later went on to play with Cephlotripe and the Feederz.

The Past - Cassette EP [2000]

I wanted to include this with my previous post for The Past's full-length, but several sets of equipment refused to comply. Not to be deterred, I eventually got this 5-song cassette transferred to my computer. I've been listening to it a lot, and remembering the first time I heard it. I'm not from Everett, but had recently befriended an Everett dude who'd moved down to Bothell, where I went to school. He'd just gotten a copy of this tape, and during theater class he put it on the stage's sound system and turned it up loud. We heard about 20 seconds before the teacher yelled something like, "WHAT is THAT?!". Confused, and seeking to prevent whatever illness could be caused by the relentless repetition of oddly tuned guitar riffs and noise, he literally ran over to the console and turned it off, hastily pulling the tape out of the machine, so that it could not infect any further. Now, I'd known this teacher my entire life. My parents were best friends with he and his wife. I knew him better than any non-family adult in my life. To a high school kid, seeing music cause such a negative gut reaction from a parent-like figure can only mean that you're on to something great. And we were.

All the copies of this tape were recorded over existing tapes. Mine was taped over a lecture from a motivational speaker. I've included a minute of so of his speech, as I feel it contributes to the experience of listening to this tape.

Worth noting is that I feel this tape has the definitive version of "Psychosis" (called "Seen and Not Seen" here, though), especially in how it ends with an  Echoplex loop.

Jeff and Keeg - "The Gold Tape" [1999]

A longtime favorite for the kids of the late 90s Everett scene, Jeff and Keeg was the short-lived duo of Keegan Douglas and Jeff Scott, formed after Keeg's band Luner Lander broke up. I believe this was their only release, a 4-song tape, spray-painted gold (I hear there were some silver ones, too). Straightforward guitar-based pop songs about girls, with Brian Wilson-inspired falsetto vocals and the occasional Phil Spector drum beat. I went to the Old Fire House one night with a friend, and Keeg, who I didn't know but who knew my friend, was walking around with a grocery bag of the the new tape, handing them out. I saw he and Jeff play a few times, the set consisting of these four songs played by just the two of them, Keeg on guitar and Jeff on bass, both with matching blue Fenders, holding them in shifting coordinated positions with the song, as if the garage was American Bandstand in 1964. A cassette in a boombox filled out the band with keyboard and drums.

A short while later, Jeff and Keeg recruited a couple other guys, and were Jeff and Keeg and John and Jim, then simply The New Avenues. See here for my post on them, which features a redone version of the tape's classic closer, "No November", a song which I've heard multiple girls swear is about them. Whatever the truth may be, it's a great little pop song, and I'm very happy to share this tape with you. Enjoy.

Mocket - Un-man 7"

Mocket's Un-man 7" was released as a part of the Kill Rock Stars Mailorder Freak 7" Singles Club in 1999. The a-side is a track off of their then-current album Pro Forma and the b-side is a remix of a track off of their previous record Fanfare. New wave-y punk rock weirdness at it's finest:

The Past - Imperfect (2000)

The Past were a mostly instrumental and entirely arty trio from Everett, two-thirds of which went on to form Display. With their giant Sunn amp cabinets and arsenal of vintage effects pedals, Jim Paschall and Jeremy Cooper unleashed waves of moody Sonic Youth and Krautrock-inspired riffs over Matt McLemore's spare but highly specific (and a bit funky, in a DJ Shadow sort of way) motorik drumming. One of my favorite memories of any show I've ever been to was at a house where The Past opened for FCS North. When their final song ("Agneta") ended, Jeremy tapped on his Echoplex, which then replayed his entire guitar part from the beginning. He and Jim peeled back the grillcloth of their amps, shoved their instruments completely inside, and as effects filtered feedback accompanied the ghost guitar, the band joined the crowd in watching the end of their set. Fantastic.
After a couple years and one short tape, they released this full-length self-released CD-R.  It was limited to 100, but I think only a few dozen were actually made, as they broke up just they put this out (my copy is number 1, by the way). I also have their cassette ep and a live video, both of which I intend to transfer soon, but keep encountering uncooperative equipment.

Shoplifting - Cassette EP

Arthur has already posted some Shoplifting material in the past, but to get you up to speed, they were an art-drenched post-punk influenced band that was basically a rebranding of the original Chromatics. As Adam Miller took the reins of what had been his side project while in Soiled Doves, Devin Welch, Hannah Blilie, and Michelle Nolan recruited Chris Pugmire for vocals and some occasional bass work for the songs Michelle sang on. This is the CD-R "reissue" that was briefly available at shows. The original cassette, which announced their arrival, was passed around before their first show, and maybe available at that first show, in a Georgetown warehouse. I was at their second show, and many after that. They were instantly my second favorite band in town, moving up to the top spot when Display split up.
Formed in 2002, the unpredictable nature of Shoplifting's early shows always kept them exciting. Once they passed out [optional] blindfolds to everyone, once they were joined by the local punk marching band The Infernal Noise Brigade. One time at the Vera, they didn't play any of their songs, but instead performed a Glenn-Branca-like improv set, where Hannah's drum kit was in the middle of the room, and everyone else, plus Jim Paschall and Jeremy Cooper from Display, played guitar from a different corner of the room, creating different blends of sound as you walked through the space.
Eventually, Michelle moved out of town, and was replaced by Melissa Lock, who came up all the way from Australia. The band split up in (I think) 2006, when Hannah was asked to join the Gossip, then Chris and Mel moved to Australia, where they've started a family and a new band, New War. Devin has kept busy, starting now-defunct Past Lives with his old Blood Brothers buddies, as well as the not-defunct experimental dub project Flexions. Now a card-carrying Portlandian, he recently joined Vice Device.

The Cripples / Aaiiee/ Toy Train / Eternal 13 - Split 7"

This 4-way split 7" was came out in the Spring of 1999, with a record release show occurring in May at The Velvet Elvis. Toy Train, which featured a pre A-frames/The Intelligence Lars Finberg, start things off with a burst of hyperactive shouty organ-driven hybrid of both punk and hip hop. Next up is Eternal 13 with a cut of almost radio friendly skate-rock. Next up are The Cripples with a blast of their trademarked lo-fi/high energy synth punk, which contains backing vocals that make the song sound an awful lot like the mutant offspring of a Cripples/Blood Brothers sexual encounter. Finishing up the disc are Aaiiee with a song that sounds awful lot like some of the mid to late 70's New York CBGB's rock bands (eg. The Shirts).

Say 10 Hail Marys

Say 10 Hail Marys were a very short lived side project between Brandon of Teen Cthulhu, Jeff McNulty of Blöödhag and Brad of Burning Witch. They played three local shows, released one demo of experimental drone/sludge metal in 2004 and were never heard from again.

The Excursion Compilation

The Excursion Compilation was released in 1996 as a showcase of the bands that were then being released by the Excursion Records label. The record is basically split into two parts: the first half consisting the of poppier punk stuff and then the second half which contains all of the hardcore bands. A perfect snapshot of not-so-long ago era, this comp. serves as a fantastic reminder of the burgeoning and multifaceted local scene of the mid 90's.

Karp - Self-titled Cassette

Odds are, you already know already know KARP but, just in case you don't, here's a brief description: Melvins + Sabbath(Living in Tumwater) = some of the heaviest riffs the northwest ever produced. Karp formed in 1990 and lasted until 1998, producing three albums, five 7"s and appearing on numerous compilations in their lifetime. Members have also played in bands such as The Tight Bro's From Way Back When, The Whip, Bug Business, Dead Air Fresheners and also occasionally appeared with northwest art rock collective Witchypoo. Sadly, drummer Scott Jernigan was killed in a boating accident in June of 2003.

This cassette is one of their earliest releases, having come out sometime in the early 90's on Punk In My Vitamins. I've often seen it referred to as their demo tape but I'm not sure whether or not that's true. This has to be one of the coolest things I've ever found in a thrift store. Purchased last year for ten cents at the Goodwill on 145th, here it is:

Jough Dawn Baker's Unfinished LP

This is big, folks. Arthur Rambo already did a fine job of covering Jough Dawn Baker's official recorded output with this post, but to recap, they were a Bellingham-based hardcore band that split up in the mid 90s and though I barely missed the window on seeing them live, everyone I've heard tell of their shows speaks of them in reverential tones. What we have here, as I understand it, is what was going to be their debut LP. They'd put out a 7", a split 12", and appeared on a few compilations, but this was the record everyone was waiting for. The record was close to done when they split up except for vocals, and it never saw the light of day. There are vocals on a few songs, but this is mostly an instrumental affair. So, a little bittersweet on that front, but hey, it's 28 minutes of Jough Dawn Baker that as far as I know only a handful of people have heard before. This is why we do this. Pungent Sound is for the people.

Dolour: Pre-album works

Dolour were a pop band who put out a few albums from 2001 to 2007, before leader Shane Tutmarc moved to Nashville to explore his twangier side. They formed in 1997, and put out one 7-inch in 1998, "The Shivering", which is so emo it includes repeated instances of the phrase "it feels like", and explains why a band known for shiny, uptempo pop has a name which means "sorrow". Before 2001, they also released some CD-R EP's wherein they found their pop center. To me, this version of the band, with Lacey Brown on drums and Joe Gregory on bass, was where they seemed most like a collaborative band. I remember some controversy when the second album came out, the cover just a closeup of Shane's face. The general consensus seemed to be that he was making it clear that Dolour = Shane Tutmarc. Despite the controversy, what was clear was the man knew how to write a good pop song. His current band is Shane Tutmarc and the Travelling Mercies, and Lacey Brown still plays music in Seattle. You can find her output at her website.

Gas Huffer - EPs and Singles Collection

If you never got a chance to see Gas Huffer perform live you definitely missed out on one of the funnest rock 'n roll shows that the Seattle area had to offer. Known for their high energy mixture of punk and garage rock and a superb live show, probably best remembered for singer Matt Wright's signature monkey man stage dance, Gas Huffer had a surprisingly long shelf life compared to many of their contemporaries, rocking from 1989-2006.

During their time together they managed to release 7 full length albums, numerous EPs and singles and had songs featured on a bunch of compilations over the years. They also had a short-lived instrumental surf rock side project known as The Del Lagunas that had a handful of releases.

Sadly, there seems to be a disturbing lack of live footage of Gas Huffer in action out there on the internet, if anyone has any video of these guys doing what they did best, please find a way to digitize that stuff and get it out there.

Teen Cthulhu / Akimbo - Split 10"

I figured I might as well continue on the track Zardoz started with yesterday's entry and post some more early Akimbo. I no longer have a physical a copy of this bad boy but after digging around in my hard drive I remembered I was able to find mp3s on soulseek (yes, people still use soulseek) at some point in the past.

This time around (or should I say the first time around?), Akimbo were joined by the wholly unholy lords of crusted blackness, Teen Cthulhu. This 10 inch contains six songs, three by each band, and if you follow this blog you probably already know what to expect: abrasive, tight and metal-tinged Northwest hardcore.

Akimbo - Army of Evil Robots Programmed for Human Destruction

If you're a regular reader of this blog, chances are you've heard of Akimbo. Since forming in 1873, this hardcore/metal three-piece played approximately 13,000 shows, including, and this stat is real, 8 shows during one October, all in Seattle, all in different venues, all with different setlists. Before finally announcing they'd be playing their final show in August of this year, Akimbo was a punk machine, and the title of this, their second release (the first being a split 10" with Teen Cthulu) explains just why the machine was so efficient, focused, and all-around badass. Founding guitarist Kyle Iman left after this one, and was sequentially replaced with 10 different guitarists. While Jon Weisnewski, Nat Damm, and those ten guitarists soldiered on, Kyle formed the Super Magnificent Action Trio, and currently records experimental ambient music under the name Emuul. I picked this up right when it came out in 2000, and listening to it again, I realize I'd forgotten some of the lighter touches around the edges of the distorted riffs and pounding drums. Some synth, some Rhodes. This does not diminish the ferocity. It is still very much Akimbo. Enjoy, my friends.

The New Avenues

The New Avenues were a pop band out of Everett, led by the falsetto-voiced and charismatic Keegan Douglas. After the demise of Luner Lander, Keeg continued to explore his Beach Boys obsession, writing guitar pop, accompanied by a bassist and as I recall, a cassette of the drum parts, as one half of Jeff and Keeg (more on that later). Eventually, they recruited Jim Paschall (Display, The Past) and a second guitarist, John, and went by Jeff and Keeg and John and Jim, before settling on The New Avenues. I believe this 5-song EP came out in 2002, and after listening to it innumerable times, it still always puts a smile on my face. If anyone has copies of later New Avenues material, or the subsequent band Talladega (in which Danny replaced Jim on drums), please let me know.

Evora - Los Jive En Conduct

Evora were a band from Bothell, WA that arose from the ashes of Take One For the Team. As TOFTT were winding down, the members split off into two very different projects. Gavin Phillips moved on to form the band Sunday Best (who eventually became This Providence) while the rest of the band started listening to At the Drive-In, added a Brantley Duke on guitar/vocals and morphed into the vaguely experimental (but mostly emo) rock band Evora. During their short time together the band recorded a 3-song self-titled, self released EP and an (unreleased?) album entitled Los Jive En Conduct. Brantley currently plays with the band Ravenna Woods.

Thrones / Behead The Prophet N.L.S.L. - Split 7"

How better to celebrate the midway point through the month of July than with a gloriously noisy split 7" by two amazing bands? First up we have the mighty Joe Preston solo project Thrones plowing through a cover of Blue Oyster Cult's "Blackblade." The b-side consists of three solid screamy rockers from Behead The Prophet N.L.S.L., who were lead by former Mukilteo Fairies vocalist Joshua Plague.

Portal - Zantopoulos

Portal were an experimental instrumental band formed in the late 90's by members of the first incarnation of the band Vermilion. Portal's instrumentation, from what I can remember, consisted of guitar, bass, casio keyboards and a Boss drum machine - all used in conjunction with various effects pedals. Zantopoulos is an EP that was self-released on CDR by the group in '99 and was named after a former childhood classmate whose last name sounded like that of a futuristic city.

Take One For The Team - Pounder Payed In Quarters

Take One For The Team were a pop punk band from Bothell, WA that existed in the early 2000's. Their sound can best be described as a less polished amalgam of some of the better known pop punk bands of the time (New Found Glory, Blink-182, etc.) with vocals very reminiscent of Saves The Day. Members of the group went on the play in bands such as Evora, Sunday Best and This Providence.

The Cripples / New Luck Toy - Split 7"

Today's download features 4 slabs of down home style Northwest punk rock. The Cripples return with two more tracks of their trademarked style of abrasive synth punk. The first track "Deep Throat" is slightly faster paced than the version that made it onto their album Culture. The 2nd track is called "Hospital" and was recorded in 1996 by an earlier incarnation of the band. Rounding things off are New Luck Toy with the songs "Wedding Dress" and "Timothy of Today"

The Finks - Children Of The Finks (cassette)

The Finks were a street punk band that existed in the later part of the 90's. I know next to nothing about these guys other than that were awesome to see live and that I think they broke up sometime in the Spring of '99. This is a 10 track cassette they released that was passed on to me by a friend a long time ago.

If you happen to know anything about this band or what any of the members ended up doing afterwards feel free to leave a comment and help fill in the story.

Run Away Laughing

Before Waxwing, before Lying On Loot and before branching off into what has come to be an absolutely stellar solo career, Rocky Votolato was playing in a band with some high school friends called Run Away Laughing. This is an album that was released I believe sometime around '94 or '95 and it should definitely appeal to fans of bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, Thirty Ought Six or any of Rocky's other work
There are a few sound issues with this rip as my copy of this cassette is rather worn out at this point, this tape rarely left my walkman in those days. If anyone out there has a better quality copy of this release I would be very grateful if you could upload it somewhere and send me a link.
Enjoy

March 15th

March 15th were a post hardcore band from the greater Seattle area that existed from the late 90's into the early 2000's. They originally started off as a typical three piece (guitar/bass/drums) but, after taking a queue from the Blood Brothers multi-vocal approach, expanded to a five piece, adding two additional vocalists and further increasing the fury and intensity of their sound. Members of the band have gone on to play in such groups as: Ravenna Woods, Monogamy Party, Navigator vs Navigator, Fires to the East and Skyline Divide

Vade - Self-titled cassette

Vade was the band that most of the members of The Blood Brothers were in prior to starting that band. They had three releases that I know of: a 7" called Saturn, a 12" split with Jough Dawn Baker and this here Self-titled cassette tape released on Henry's Finest. I lost my original copy of this thing years ago and had been searching for a replacement copy ever since. Thankfully though, last year someone let me know they were auctioning off a copy on ebay and I was able to get my grubby little hands on it.
So, here ye be:

Tit Pig

Today's download features 10 blasts of hardcore homoerotic hesher punk from Seattle's infamous Tit Pig. These tracks are from their sole release, a very limited edition cassette that came out sometime last Spring/Summer. Apparently these guys broke up a little while back. Here are some fond memories people shared over on The Stranger's website:

"I thought they were awesome. Saw them only the one time, opening for tacocat, but it was enough to know sonething awesome was brewing in the Seattle metro area."

"Saw this guy (singer Sean Prawn) shove a mound of cocaine up his nose at the Funhouse and then talk about his band as if they were the next kings of dog shit mountain. They broke up? Shocking."

"I thought Tit Pig was terrible. Good Riddance."

Megaupload has been taken down

So, Megaupload is now gone and I'd guess that something like 85% of the links on this blog have disappeared with it. I will definitely be reposting some things in the near future but some stuff, especially the few things that are readily and cheaply available on places like i-tunes and amazon, will not be coming back. If you have any requests as to what should be reupped first, please leave a comment
